O ur Chic of the Week is David Cartier from Le Portrait.
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I’m 23 & I love my job . I’m lucky to have gotten into photography at a very young age (15) and and I’m forever grateful for the opportunities that have been given to me by other photographers and photo editors.
When I’m not photographing or retouching, I’m learning/doing marketing, graphic design, seo, public speaking, working on self development (personal and professional) and spending time with my girlfriend .
I wish to create a great body of work so that I can blend my passion for travel and photography to be able to shoot weddings in Europe & USA .
Image of the week:
This photo is from Nerissa & Jacob’s wedding location shots. I shot this on a Nikon D3s with a 24-70 mm before sunset and before the heavy rain.
Post-production : I edited them it in photoshop (from a raw file). I wanted a very simple feel to it. No actions or presets were used .
After sharing this image in the Chic Critique Forum, what critique did you find helpful?
I learned a lot from fellow members on other images from this shoot, specially with posing as my posing is very minimalistic in the way I give directions, so next time I see the same thing happen I’ll give a bit more direction to create a more consistant look. I love the feed back I got.
Congratulations David! You’ve been awarded a gift certificate from one of our vendors for being selected as Chic of the Week!
